Third Edition of Chicago Architecture Biennial Showcases Social Aspects of Architecture
WDCB’s Gary Zidek sits down with Todd Palmer, the executive director of the Chicago Architecture Biennial to talk about the 2019 edition of the Biennial.

“We think about architecture, most of us, in terms of stories we might hear about the founding the skyscraper in Chicago or that Frank Lloyd Wright was inspired by the horizontality of the landscape, but there are other stories that maybe haven’t made it into our imaginations or everyday thinking about architecture, so this exhibition really is an opportunity to explore that.” - Todd Palmer, executive director of the Chicago Architecture Biennial talking about some of themes being explored in this year’s Biennial.

The third edition of the Chicago Architecture Biennial is now open. Launched in 2015, the Chicago exhibit is already considered one of the world’s most influential architectural platforms. The 2019 edition of the Biennial, titled “And Other Such Stories”, features over 80 contributors from 22 countries.
Chicago Architecture Biennial programming is being presented all over the city, but the Chicago Cultural Center is the Biennial’s home-base for the next 3.5 months.
