Book Lover Rejoice, the Printers Row Lit Fest is Approaching
WDCB’s Gary Zidek caught up with with Amy Danzer, the new programming director of the Printers Row Lit Fest to talk about the 37th edition of the event.
Book lovers from across the midwest will be descending upon Chicago’s south Loop in a few weeks. The 37th annual Printers Row Lit Fest is set to take place Saturday 9/10 & Sunday 9/11 along a stretch of south Dearborn Street. What started in 1985 as a small book fair is now considered to be one of the biggest literary festivals in the country. Presented by the Near South Planning Board, this year’s Printers Row Lit Fest will kick off with Evanston-based, Pulitzer Prize winner and two-term United States Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey, who will be awarded with this year’s Harold Washington Literary Prize.
