Ten years ago, Austin Kleon’s book STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST: 10 THINGS NOBODY TOLD YOU ABOUT BEING CREATIVE was published. A few months later it became a New York Times bestseller. The book is a manifesto of sorts about the creative process and what it means to be influenced by the work that’s come before. STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST was inspired by a commencement speech Kleon delivered in 2011 where he highlighted 10 things he wished someone had told him when he was starting out at their age. The Austin-based writer has re-released a 10th anniversary edition of STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST, with a new afterword.
The 10-year anniversary edition of STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST was just released, it’s available everywhere books are sold. You can check out Kleon’s work over at austinkleon.com
