Chicago Fest Shines Light On Bold Performances
WDCB’s Gary Zidek talks to Pivot Arts founder/director Julieanne Ehre about the Chicago-based organization and this year’s Pivot Arts Festival.

The 7th annual Pivot Arts Festival kicks off Friday May 31 and continues through June 9 at locations in the Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods. This year’s fest will feature five world premiere performances.
A rehearsal for THE ROSINA PROJECT
The Pivot Arts Festival will start with the premiere of THE ROSINA PROJECT. The contemporary adaptation of Rossini’s THE BARBER OF SEVILLE is a co-production created by Chicago Fringe Opera and Brave Soul Movement. There will be 3 presentations of THE ROSINA PROJECT, May 31, June 1 & 2 at Alternatives (4730 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago).

The Pivot Arts Festival will also present the premiere of GILGAMESH AND ENKIDU, a production that mixes live music, physical theater and storytelling.
