WDCB's Gary Zidek talks to DePaul Art Museum director Julie Rodrigues Widholm about the museum's season of printmaking exhibits.
"I think printmaking tends to be marginalized within fine arts, so I was interested in bringing printmaking to the center. Specifically for that reason, how can we reconsider prints as exciting, innovative, important art forms" - Julie Rodrigues Widholm on the perceptions of prints within the art world.
The DePaul Art Museum is presenting the first-ever museum solo exhibition of Barbara Jones-Hogu's prints. The AfriCOBRA co-founder worked on the Wall of Respect and made prints from 1968 to the mid 70's.

A short walk into the next gallery space reveals work paying tribute to the late Chicago muralist & printmaker Jose Guerrero.
